Festival of Nature 2026: Rooted In Nature: Exploring our Creative Connection to Trees

In collaboration with @festofnature @mothertree_wellbeing @chawke_art_forest @creative_fern_cic

We created a session for Festival of Nature 2026 that invited participants to slow down, awaken their senses and connect with the natural world through a grounding, tree-inspired nature connection session.

It was a relaxed, welcoming experience that invited curiosity and inspiration, supported wellbeing and mindful presence, and lead into a creative art activity. Exploring the wonders of trees through printmaking and drawing with natural inks, creating a personal piece to take home while contributing to a collaborative mixed-media Tree of Life.

It was lovely to see the curiosity and playfulness when exploring our senses amongst the landscape and trees on Brandon Hill and playing with natural inks and printing pads using leaves and sticks to create a collaborative tree piece and individual postcards. Thanks to @stgeorgesbris for the lovely indoor space for the art making
